Once these never before produced shirts are gone, they are gone and become a collector's item.
Rickie Smith had just won the first round in his Oak Ridge Boys-sponsored Mustang II when an IHRA official greeted him in the shutdown area at Rockingham Dragway. He never gave Smith his time slip; he hooked up his golf cart to the Mountain Motor Pro Stocker and towed him back to the starting line.

There had been others, but Smith was the first official to break the barrier at the 1980 IHRA Pro Am Nationals.
